Hello all.

Have been doing some search's on the forum to find some info but as yet no luck.

Basically my heated front screen isn't working (Mk1 Galaxy).

I found the relay (right git to get to) and when I press the switch on the dash I can hear the relay clicking away so initially that seems ok.

Now Im trying to find the tabs on the windscreen itself to put my multimeter on it and see if I have 12v at the screen (if so then I know its the screen thats shot), I've taken off the A pillar trims but I cant find any wiring going to the screen. Are the tabs on the screen hidden behind the front part of the dash i.e at the bottom of the screen?

Thanks in advance!

Any help appreciated - whilst the car is still in bits....

Hi have looked in the TIS manual for removing screen and it says, remove a pillar trim then disconnect heated screen connectors (one each side) maybe you dont have a heated front screen, I take it you do have a front and rear screen switch

The wiring is on the OUTSIDE not the inside, remove the rubber A pillar trims and you'll see the connectors.

I would check the earth first ribbon cable behind the rear view mirror light, easy to check and can tear.

Hi its worth checking the earth that is connected by a nut behind the light.

you will find the + connections under the side vents that clear the little windows at the front to the sides of the dash just get a flat bladed tool and pry them up under you will find the thick red wire and connector that powers the screen you should get 13+v at that point.
